SINK  THE  SHAFT  DEEP

If you were a treasure seeker, how would you go about trying to find those treasures?  Would you expect to find them lying on the surface.  Just stumble upon them by pure accident?

Treasures usually have to be dug for.  If you lived in the desert and needed much water (which is important in a desert) what would you do?

If there was a vein of water under the earth, would it not be worth drilling for?

If you knew there was oil under the ground, would it not be wise to drill for it?  Of course it would be?

Thus it seems to be in the Christian and Jewish world, the Scriptures are just surface read, without comparing Scripture with Scripture.  They love their cheap rocks on the surface, instead of the gold nugget.  What do I mean by this?

The name of  "Jesus" is a name that is on the surface of the Bible.  But when you look deeper into this subject something very interesting comes out.

The Saviour Himself spoke to Saul on the road to Damascus, and Saul said, "Who art thou Master?", the Messiah did not say  "I am Jesus whom thou persecutest." Acts 26:15.  Though this is what is on the surface, by digging a little deeper we understand that He did not say  "Jesus", for it is recorded that the Saviour spoke  "in the Hebrew tongue". Acts 26:14.

So the question now arises, What was the Saviour's name in the Hebrew tongue?  For this gem we must dig a little deeper.  The name Jesus is from the Greek "Iesous", the same word that describes "Joshua" in Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8, but Joshua is usually found in the margin of these texts, so that we don't get confused thinking that its talking about the Messiah.  The New Age bible versions restored "Joshua" to the these texts, but did not restore the Saviour's name, because they didn't want to confuse every one with the facts. (Does that make sense to you?)

What does this mean?  It means that Joshua and the Messiah had the same name! Which was?  Well we have a list.  Jeshua (Nehemiah 8:17) Joshua (Exodus 17:9) and Jehoshua (Numbers 13:16).  Was it Jeshua?  Well lets dig a little deeper!

Though  "J" is on the surface, we know that it should have a "Y" sound, as in the Hebrew.  Example, Hallelujah where the  j has a "y" sound because of its Hebrew origins.  OK Yeshua.  Was Yeshua the original which the angel Gabriel delivered to Yoseph and Miriam?  Well lets dig a little deeper and find out!  The Messiah said, "I am come in My Father's name." John 5:43.  The Torah also prophesied that "My name is in Him". Ex. 23:21.  In other words, part of the sacred name must be a part of the Messiah's name.  David also said concerning the Messiah that, "He shall be as a son to continue his father's name forever." Psalm 72:17 margin.  Also the Saviour's prayer in John 17 is revealing, when He prayed "O holy Father, protect them in thy name, which thou hast given me." verse 11 Peshitta

In the original Joshua's name was spelled  (Deut. 3:21 & Judges 2:7), but after the children of Israel came out of Babylonian captivity (536 BCE) Joshua's name was shortened to  The Israelites changed, but the Creator said, "I change not." Malachi 3:6

The angel Gabriel was not subject to Babylonian corruption through culture and time.  No, Gabriel's job was to deliver a message from the Father Himself.  Woe unto Gabriel if He should alter it!  Gabriel was a faithful messenger and delivered the original  "Yahu"(which some think was "Jeho") back to its proper place.  The Messiah seemed as one who would restore Israel back to its former glory when everyone used  "yahu" in their names before the Babylonian captivity.

The Holy Spirit is another gem!  Who can find the Holy Spirit?  "For her price is far above rubies." Prov. 31:10.  Some folks rationalize away the Holy Spirit, that the Holy Spirit is not a being!

"They think they have the treasures of knowledge, when they are hoarding that which is but wood and hay and stubble, not worth gaining, not worth keeping.  Their self-esteem, their idea that a superficial knowledge of things constitutes education, makes them boastful and self-satisfied, when they are, as were the Pharisees, ignorant of the Scriptures and the power of (Elohim).

"As veins of precious ore are hidden beneath the surface of the earth, so spiritual riches are concealed in the passage of Holy Writ, and it requires mental effort and prayerful attention to discover the hidden meaning of the word of (Elohim).  Let every student who values the heavenly treasures put to the stretch his mental and spiritual powers, and sink the shaft deep into the mine of truth, that he may obtain the celestial gold, --that wisdom which will make him wise unto salvation." Fundamentals of Christian Education p. 169, 170

"Let these sayings sink down into your ears." Luke 9:44

Those who exclude the Holy Spirit quote their favorite text, "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." John 14:18.

"Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be of a ripe age." I Corinthians 14:20 margin

Earlier the Messiah stated that He would "pray the Father, and He shall send another Comforter." John 14:16.  Notice it is the Father who sends the Holy Sprit! Which was given to the Messiah (7-A p.  279; Acts 1:4; 2:38; 10:45 & 11:17) when He ascended back to heaven!  Did the Father give the Messiah back to Himself, ridiculous of course!

Obviously the Holy Spirit would not come speaking on its own behalf (John 16:13) therefore the Holy Spirit is the representative of the Messiah, and in this sense the Messiah is coming to us and is in us (John 14:17).  We must dig a little deeper than the surface of (John 14:18).

"He revealeth the deep and secret things." Daniel 2:22

There are several hints that the Holy Spirit is feminine, but this is not on the surface.  Spiritual things are spiritually discerned.  The Messiah suggested that the Holy Spirit gives men and women a birth experience.  He stated in plain speech that we must be  "born of the Spirit" (John 3:5, 8).  This suggests that the Holy Spirit has feminine attributes, because only a female gives birth to children, men only beget children, there is a plain difference.  YAHUSHUA was begotten of the Father (John 1:14) as  "Abraham begat Isaac" Mt. 1:2.

Why are people offended at a female Holy Spirit? Because their roots  "had no deepness of earth." Matthew 13:5

Only a dumb two year old might hear  I John 5:7 (Review II Timothy 3:16), just surface reading the Scriptures and think that  "God" is three persons (three heads on one body).  This proves that Catholic scholarship is still wearing diapers.  Any one that has any common sense at all would compare Scripture with Scripture.  Just as YAHUWAH said concerning marriage,  "they two shall be one flesh." Gen. 2:24.  Not that they both have the same body, but that they work together, for the same goal and purpose.

"This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning the Messiah and the congregation." Eph 5:38

In other words the Messiah shall leave  "His Father and Mother, and be joined unto His wife." Eph 5:31

Then He will bring this bride to His Father's house as the Jewish custom was.

"We speak the wisdom of Elohim in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which Elohim ordaind before the world unto our glory: . . . Elohim hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of Elohim.  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Spirit teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of Elohim: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." I Corinthians 2:7, 10, 11, 13, 14
